Steven Leuty
Steve graduated from K College (history), WMU (master’s in public administration), and the Michigan Township Associations’ Township Governance Academy. His professional work experience includes serving in Kalamazoo County’s planning and health departments and as a property coordinator for Bronson.
Serving as a trustee since 2012, Steve Leuty’s first involvement with Kalamazoo Township began more than three decades ago when he helped develop the township’s pioneer curbside recycling program and non-motorized improvements, including sidewalks and safe routes to school. His passion for creating a safe and walkable community remains strong as he looks for ways to move forward with our complete streets initiative. In addition to his role as trustee, Steve has several township committee assignments, including the planning commission, zoning board of appeals, parks, and KABA.
